KARACHI: The Sindh High Court on Monday extended the bail of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Waseem Akhtar till February 1 in two cases for accusing national institutions. Waseem Akhtar appeared in the SHC, which extended the interim bail of Waseem Akhtar till February 1.
However, Waseem Akhtar has been accused in two cases for giving comments related to national institutes and intelligence agencies on a private channel, the cases were lodged in Sohrab Goth and Super Highway police stations.
Talking to media outside the court, MQM leader Waseem Akhtar said that the movement for new provinces was gaining momentum. The MQM, he said, had moved a resolution in the National Assembly in this regard.
