ISLAMABAD: Saudi government would continue help in rebuilding educational, health, social sector and other facilities in earthquake hit areas of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The commitment was reiterated by Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) headed by Chief Engineer Abdullah M Al-Shoaibi at the occasion of three projects inauguration in Rawalakot and Bagh, said a message received here.
The SFD chief engineer along three members also attended briefing to get details of SFD under construction projects in Azad Kashmir.
During the inauguration ceremony held at judicial complex, project officials briefed the Saudi Fund for Development and other participants in details.
SFD official Syed Yasir Gillani said that judicial complex building and facilities are remarkable.
He added the project was completed with a cost of Rs 152.842 million. He said that in the complex, 13 court rooms, 91 rooms for multiple uses, two library halls, two bar rooms, one conference hall are add more facilities in the disbursement of justice to the needy.
At the occasion Deputy Chairman ERRA Brig Abu Bakr Amin Bajwa said that the new judicial complex is a state of art building and will facilitate public and lawyer at large.
The Rawalakot people and lawyer community warmly welcome the guest and appreciated their kind gesture for help and assistance for the people of Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and specially the Rawalakot where earthquake brought massive destruction.
In another briefing to SFD delegation regarding mega project of District Complex Rawalakot Complex Rawalakot the official said that mega project which cost is Rs 1.497 billion needs effective construction strategy.
Shoiabi expressed his displeasure for slow progress of construction firm despite SFD and ERRA official repeated warning.
During the briefing it was noted that the projects was well conceived to be completed within two years but progress is not encouraging due to contractor’s lame excuses.
At the occasion soft inauguration of boy’s degree college Hajira Rawalakot was held which was completed with a cost of Rs 140 million.
College principle and area notable thanked Saudi government kind support for reconstruction of college in far flung area.
The Saudi delegation after Rawalakot has inaugurated Government College of education (Women) Bagh which was completed in time with the cost of Rs 186 million.
In inauguration ceremony acting chairman ERRA while eulogizing international partners and Saudi Arabia’s role in reconstruction said that due there support we have achieved exceptional results under Build Back Better strategy.
At the occasion lawyer community delegation met SFD head Shoib and A/Deputy and raised their concerned about slow progress of the under construction projects. SFD head and A/Deputy Chairman ERRA assured that stringent steps are under way in this regard.
