RAWALPINDI: Saudi Deputy Crown Prince and Defence Minister Mohammad Bin Salman Al Saud on Sunday called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif here at the General Headquarters.
Matters related to regional security and defence cooperation came under discussion during the meeting, said an Inter-Services Public Relations press release.
The COAS said that Pakistan enjoyed close and brotherly relations with Saudi Arabia and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and attached great importance to their security.
Pakistan, he added, held its defence ties with Kingdon of Saudi Arabia in the highest esteem and re-asserted that any threat to Saudi Arabia’s territorial integrity would evoke a strong response from Pakistan.
The Saudi Defence Minister said that Saudi Arabia attached great importance to Pakistan and its armed forces, and appreciated their successes in the fight against terrorism and efforts for regional stability.
He also reaffirmed the Kingdom’s full support to Pakistan’s position on all matters.
