Sanjay Dutt to be released from jail on February 27

WEB DESK: Actor Sanjay Dutt sentence has been cut down by three years. He will be released from jail on January 27, Aaj News reported.

He was found guilty in March 2013 for possessing illegal arms acquired allegedly to protect his family during the communal conflagration that surrounded Mumbai after the demolition of the Babri Mosque on December 6, 1992 by Indian Supreme Court.

Of the five-year sentence, the actor already served 18 months as an under-trial and was required to undergo another 42 months which will be completed in January.
