ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and International Monetary Fund will hold talks on January 26 in Dubai, Aaj News reported.
Due to the privatization of national carrier, Pakistan Airlines, the talks are likely to suffer setbacks.
According to the Privatization and Finance Commission no final verdict on the privatization of PIA has been announced yet. The meeting in Dubai will discuss the tenth installment of a fund.
The IMF had offered proposals of interested investors for PIA. However, after uproar by politicians over the expected privatization, the news was refused.
According to a contract with the IMF 26 percent shares of PIA should have been sold during the year 2015.
