ISLAMABAD: The Transparency International on Thursday said Pakistan was the only country, among the five South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), states that improved its Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) score.
The TI report on CPI 2015, which is scheduled to be formally launched on Wednesday, said the rest four countries scored the same or less than the score in 2014.
TI Pakistan Chairman Sohail Muzaffar said the CPI score for Pakistan had again increased by one point to thirty, and rank improved by three.
The index covered perceptions of public sector corruption in 168 countries.
Denmark took the top spot for the second year with North Korea and Somalia the worst performers, scoring just eight points each.
