Pakistan Coast Guards arrest Iranian, Afghan nationals

KARACHI: Pakistan Coast Guards apprehended 19 Afghan and four Iranian nationals along 55 Pakistanis attempting to slip into a neighbouring country via sea-route off Gwadar.

A spokesman of Pakistan Coast Guards sharing details of the arrest here on Tuesday said the intending migrants devoid of any legal documents were arrested near Shahjahan/Palari Road check post near Gwadar.

Initial investigations revealed that all these 75 individuals were proceeding to Iran without any valid visa and other relevant documents, said Major Muhammad Kafeel Zuberi.

They were poised to use sea border and intended to use unauthorized crossings and routes, he said mentioning that all of them have been handed over to FIA authorities for further investigations.
