ISLAMABAD: Pakistan outplayed Nepal won by 9 wickets on Monday in the first match of the inaugural Twenty-20 Asia Cup Cricket of the Blind being played at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium Kochi, India.
Pakistan won the toss and put Nepal into Bat. Pakistan bowlers bowled splendidly well and didn’t allow Nepalese batsmen to open their arms.
Pakistan bowled out Nepal on just 85 runs in 19th over, says a press release issued here.
Zeeshan Abbasi was the pick amongst the bowlers as he claimed three wickets in 2.1 overs by giving away only one run. Meanwhile, Badar Munir bagged two wickets.
Pakistan in reply chased the target in 8.1 overs for the loss of one wicket. Sana Ullah Khan remained unbeaten on 39 runs off 26 balls while Anees Javed remained not out on 22 runs. Muhammad Waqas was bowled out after scoring 14 runs.
Pakistan’s Zeeshan Abbasi was declared man of the match. In the other match of Asia Cup, India beat Bangladesh by 179 runs. Matches to be played on Tuesday include Sri Lanka v Bangladesh and India v Nepal.
