RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Wednesday said no terrorist outfit would be tolerated in the country and no such element would be given any leniency, Aaj News reported.
He reiterated zero-tolerance policy against terrorism while addressing Corps Commander Conference at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
“The operation has not only destroyed terrorist dens but damaged their structure as well,” the conference was apprised.
He directed to continue focused efforts for sustainable peace and security. He expressed complete satisfaction over progress of Operation Zarb-e-Azb, and operational preparedness of the Army.
Sharif paid rich tributes to the security personnel engaged in operation for their sacrifices and successes.
Participants of the conference had a detailed review of overall internal and external security situation, emerging geo-strategic environment and its relevance to Pakistan.
They were briefed about prevailing and emerging threats, ongoing operations of security and intelligence agencies for breaking the nexus between terrorists and their support mechanism.
