KARACHI: Corps Commander Karachi Lieutenant General Naveed Mukhtar on Friday discussed National Action Plan (NAP) with Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat ul Ebad Khan Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah in separate meetings.
The issues pertaining to National Action Plan (NAP) and operation against criminals and terrorists were discussed in the meetings at CM House and Governor House with CM and governor respectively.
They also discussed the decisions taken in the Apex Committee to further tighten noose around terrorists.
The chief minister said that for implementing the Apex Committee decisions he has approved setting up 10 more Anti-Terrorism Court (ATCs) in Karachi.
The corps commander expressed satisfaction on the implementation of the Apex Committee decisions and also said that with the strengthening of prosecution system the terrorists would not be able to get away.
The Director General of the Pakistan Rangers Sindh Maj Gen Bilal Akbar, also called on the Governor Sindh at the Governor House on Friday.
It was reiterated that action against the criminals would be intensified and that the province would be cleansed of criminals so that a complete and lasting peace be ensured in the province.
Governor Sindh appreciated the performance of the personnel of the Rangers and paid tributes to their sacrifices
