WEB DESK: IT ministry on Monday has lifted the sanction on video sharing website, YouTube, after three years. The website will be accessible in a localized version, Aaj News reported.
Google, the parent company, launched a localised version of the website in Pakistan earlier this week. After the launch of the localised version, hopes were in the air for ban lift announcement making it officially accessible to citizens
YouTube had remained blocked in Pakistan since September 17, 2012, a move made by Pakistani government after blasphemous content from its platform was not removed.
