ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan Thursday directed the party representatives to the play the role of ‘real’ opposition in the local government (LG) system of federal capital.
Addressing the elected representatives here, he said the role of opposition had always been significant in strengthening democratic norms in any society. “PTI members would not be a friendly opposition in the federal capital,” he added.
The PTI representatives, Imran Khan said, would be vigilant about all development activities taking place in the capital and judicious use of public money.
He appreciated the PTI’s performance in the recently held local government elections in Islamabad, saying that the party’s sit-in helped in boosting its image.
