K.N. SHAH (DADU): Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that efforts of Rangers in maintaining peace in Sindh cannot be ruled out.
Addressing a public meeting at Village Khanpur Junejo here on Wednesday, said that the citizens of Karachi are now accepting the restoration of law and order and now they are live a peaceful life.
He said that government was making all out efforts to restore law and order all over the province.
He termed the tragedy of Bacha Khan University Charsadda as painful and said that over all law and order situation in Sindh is remained normal as the government with the support of the people has taken strict action against criminals right from Karachi to Jacobabad.
After maintenance of law and order, he said that provision of job opportunities to unemployed persons is the top priority of the provincial government.
Besides, he said that the wheel of development work is also moving fast as numbers of development works are being carried out by the provincial government and after completion of these projects, the people will be able to get maximum facilities at their nearest. He said that because of the performance of the present provincial government, the voters have supported the PPP candidates and elected them with majority in the local government elections.
He said that Sindh possessed rich mineral resources and the provincial government is making all out efforts to utilize these resources for the welfare of the masses.
The work of power generation with Thar coal was initiated by Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto in 1994 but it left abandoned after dissolution of her government.
At present, he said that work on completion of power generation with Thar Coal is on progress and after completion of this project, the prices of electricity will be cut down drastically.
Among others, MNA Imran Zafar Leghari, MPA Kulsoom Chandio and Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister Fayyas Ali also addressed.
Later, Sindh Chief Minister visited the residence of Engineer Abdul Aziz Junejo where he offered condolences with him on the death of his mother and sister and offered fateha.
