Earthquake shakes parts of Punjab, KPK

WEB DESK: A 5.9 magnitude earthquake jolted parts of Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa in the late hours of Tuesday, Aaj News reported.

Initial reports revealed that tremors were  felt across  Chitral, Shangla, Gilgit, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Sahiwal and surrounding areas.

According to official reports the epicenter of the earthquake was recorded in Mount Hindu Kush and measured 5.9 on the richter scale.

Following the tremors, people evacuated their houses and buildings amid panic.

No causality or property damage has been reported so far. However, three people were injured in Peshawar area.
