WEB DESK: An Anti terror court (ATC) on Friday directed the authorities to give Pakistan Peoples Party(PPP) leader, Dr Asim Hussain, medical treatment for tooth pain. The court also issued non-bailable arrest warrants for four accused including Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader and nominee for Karachi mayor Waseem Akhtar, Saleem Shehzad, Anees Qaim Khani and Qadir Patel, Aaj News reported.
The warrants were issued during the hearing of Former Petroleum Minister Dr. Asim Hussain where investigative officer spelled out the detailed report in which it was said that Akhtar, Qaimkhani and Patel are suspects at large.
The report said that the accused Usman and Moazzam have been arrested whereas other accused have not arrested. In response to the report, the court re-issued the non-bailable arrest warrants. The court has provided the copies of witness statement to the concerned parties.
The court remarked upon the delay in arrests that if the accused can appear on television ‘why hasn’t the arrest been made yet?’
