‘Continuity of democratic system essential for political stability’

ISLAMABAD: Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz on Sunday said continuity of democratic system was essential for the political stability of the country.

“Operation Zarb-e-Azb and National Action Plan are being successfully executed to eliminate terrorism and extremism,” he said.

Sartaj Aziz said terrorism had reduced by 60 to 70 per cent in Pakistan.

He said Pakistan Army had the ability to safeguard the country’s frontiers.

“The government is pursuing a foreign policy of peaceful neighborhood and for maintaining good and cordial ties with all countries,” he said.

Replying to a question, he said the whole nation is united and the government’s policy is moving in right direction.
