WEB DESK: The Twenty20 series between Paksitan and New Zealand came to an end with Shahid Afridi’s shocking announcement to become commentator after getting retired from cricket.
In the post-match ceremony of the third T20 and his last match in New Zealand he lauded New Zealand team and the people of the country.
“Is this the last time we saw you in New Zealand?” asked moderator Simon Doull.
Afridi said, “I would love to come back here, may be as a commentator” he chuckled.
Earlier, on Thursday, Shahid Afridi had spoke to media and expressed his wish to make his last match memorable in the New Zealand.
Other than 23 runs on 8 balls and 2 wickets in the first T20, he failed to impress in the other two matches and was only able to make 15 runs and took one wicket.
Pakistan faced their biggest defeat in T20i by 95 runs today and it proved to be the biggest victory for New Zealand in terms of runs margin.
