QUETTA: Balochistan Interior Minister escaped a deadly attack when a bomb exploded near his vehicle, Aaj News reported.
Sarfaraz Bugti was on his way to his hometown, 450 kilometer away from Quetta accompanied by his guards, when a bomb exploded near his vehicle.
The blast damaged the rear of his car, and destroyed the cars of his body guards. However, no casualties were reported.
Bugti said that his car was bullet proof and so he escaped unscathed, though shaken by the blast.
Police said that the bomb was either operated through a remote control device or placed in a landmine.
Bugti had received several threats from separatist groups in Balochistan, police said.
