ISLAMABAD: India’s 2011 World Cup-winning star Yuvraj Singh has sent his good wishes to Pakistan’s T20 captain Shahid Khand Afridi and his Peshawar team that will feature in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), to be played in Dubai and Sharjah in February next year.
In a video message aired by sports.ndtv.com, the dashing Indian batsman asked fans and players not to be angry with Afridi for any of his comments as “he is only hard from the outside but has a very tender heart”.
“My message for Peshawar team is to do well in the Pakistan Super League. We will pray for you all. You have Shahid Afridi in your side. A team that has someone like Shahid Afridi will definitely do well,” he said.
“He hits sixes sometimes this way or sometimes that way. Don’t get angry on what Afridi says. We have heard a lot of shouting from him when playing for India. He may be tough from outside but is good at heart and soft inside,” Yuvraj added.
Yuvraj’s kind words earned him a lot of praise in the social media, especially from Pakistani fans.
