HYDERABAD: Various ceremonies, functions and debate contests were held in different parts of Hyderabad to pay tribute to martyrs of Army Public School (APS) Peshawar.
Governmental and Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) including Pakistan Peace Council, Representatives of SPARK, President Sikh association Hyderabad Narien Singh, Manooj Maharaj, Ram Ji Lal,Chairman Hindu Association Lekh Raj, Father Daniel Desoza, Nawab Soomroo, Zahid Theabo and Students of different educational institutions also renewed pledge to eliminate terrorism and extremism from the country.
In memory of APS Peshawar victims, Civil Society Organization arranged a rally “Hum Tumhain Nahin Bhoolay” from Hyderabad Press club. Social activists, journalists, lawyers and people from various walks of life participated.
The participants were chanting slogans against terrorists and terrorism.
Addressing the participants, speakers paid rich tributes to martyrs of APS, saying that the terrorists have failed to demoralize the nation by their neferious designs.
They said that the sacrifice of innocent students and teachers would not go waste and the country would soon be freed from the menace of terrorism and extremism.
While, candlelite vigil was held outside Hyderabad Press Club to pay tribute to the victims of the Peshawar attack.
Citizens and human right activists lauded the sacrifice of the little souls who lost their lives.
They said that today a large numbers of the participation conveyed a strong message that the entire nation was united against terrorists.
