ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan on Monday said all the party would be dissolved and intra-party elections in each province would be held separately, while new party memberships would soon be announced.
He blamed Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for being party with the government in recently held local bodies elections.
“We will announce membership campaign after dissolving the complete party. We will hold direct elections for all the posts,” he said while talking to media in Islamabad.
This should be noted that senior members Arif Alvi, Ali Zaidi and Shafqat Mehmood have resigned from the party posts after their marked defeat in local body elections.
He said he wanted to make his party such an institution that would not diminish like Pakistan People’s Party, which crumbled in front of our eyes.
“I want PTI to sustain long after Imran Khan dies,” he said.
He said more rigging took place in this LB polls than 2013 general elections, which is a stance all the 22 political parties in the country would agree to.
Khan blamed ECP for being involved in rigging. “I will gather all the political parties against the government.”
He also admitted that many discrepancies existed at grass root level in PTI that needed to be corrected.
“All the other parties, but PTI, are doing genetic politics,” he said
