ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Tuesday said majority of problems facing the country could be resolved by eliminating corruption from the society.
“The government is working to improve the economy of the country,” he said while addressing the convocation of COMSATS, Institute of Technology in Islamabad.
The present said the nation should trust honest people while electing its leadership and reject those who created hurdles in the way of development.
He said government had initiated various projects to bring progress and prosperity to the country.
Hussain said China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would bring prosperity not only in Pakistan but also the neighboring countries.
Mamnoon Hussain said the government was paying special attention to promotion of science and technical education in the country.
He said the world was fast heading towards globalisation and education of science and technology had acquired great importance. He stressed the need for improving the syllabus of science and technical education to meet the modern day needs.
The president appreciated COMSAT for promoting education of science and technology in the country.
He distributed awards and degrees among the graduating students in different disciplines.
