LAHORE: Death toll of children due to break out of diphtheria has reached 31 in Punjab as two more kids passed away in two days in Children Hospital Lahore. Medical experts said the issue could be solved given that the federal government increases facility of immunization.
Sources said the disease of diphtheria was increasing despite provision of medicines which was resulting in more deaths.
The recent victims were two little girls, Nimra, eight, and Asia, 12, residents of Lahore, who were under treatment for four days.
Spokesperson health department said medicines had been provided to all the government hospitals and soon the disease would be controlled.
