ISLAMABAD: An accountability court has on Tuesday acquitted former president Asif Ali Zardari from five SGS and COTECNA references on account of absence of documents.
The court announced that without real documents the accused could not be held accountable.
The accountability court judge Muhammed Basheer has announced the decision after hearing the evidences of lawyers.
Politician and lawyer, Farooq H Naek, while talking to media outside the court, said Saifur Rehman had filed the lawsuit in political revenge.
“Zardari spent eight years in jail and now he has been acquitted in all the references,” he said.
Naek said false cases were filed against Zardari, however he did not belive in taking revenge.
