Waqar Younis turns 44

WEB DESK: Head coach of the Pakistan cricket team and one of the fastest bowlers the world has seen Waqar Younis turned 44 today.

On his birthday let’s share 5 of his biggest cricket achievements.

He changed bowling trends in the 80s. That is why he is fondly called the king of reverse swing.

He has played 87 test matches and 262 ODIs.

His best performance was when he took 13 wickets for 135 runs in a test match.

His best ODI performance was when he took 7 wickets for 36 runs.


In April 2004 he retired officially, after a disastrous exit from the World Cup. Now he his Pakistan’s head coach and a regular at the commentary box.
