WEB DESK: Only a day after Pakistan marked a day for journalists’ safety, a tribal journalist was shot dead.
Unidentified men opened fire on senior Journalist Zaman Mehsud at Tank District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The journalist was critically injured by the firing, and was taken to the District Headquarters Hospital in Dera Ismail Khan where he succumbed to his wounds.
Zaman was working with Daily Ummat and SANA and served as president of TUJ South Waziristan chapter and district coordinator of Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) in Tank.
His friends poured in their protest on Twitter.
