WEB DESK: After the immense success of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ in Pakistan and India, Bollywood hero Salman Khan starrer family drama ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ is slated to hit the cinemas across both the countries on the same day after Indian Festival, Diwali on November 12, Indian Express reported.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan had turned out to be a colossal success in Pakistan for its cheering narrative of an Indian man helping a dumb Pakistani Muslim girl , to reach her parents across the border.
The movie release in the two countries simultaneously is a good indicator at a time when artists have been pulled into the political frenzy between both nations.
Salman now has all the reasons to be in high spirits as he had earlier told the Indian media that he wanted the movie to release across borders.
The actor said cinema was a powerful medium with the capability to usher in a change.
“The medium (cinema) is really powerful. We can do a lot with this medium,” he said.
He went on to say that this is our tool and a lot of people appreciate good cinema and good characters.
He said,“Everyone watches movies and it has a huge impact on people’s life, and on society. I think there is no format better than cinema.”
Sooraj Barjatya directorial, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ is a story about love and family ties that revolves around a royal family.
Salman starrer family drama also stars Sonam Kapoor, Anupam Kher and Neil Nitin Mukesh scheduled to release on November 12.
