MULTAN: Former prime minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Friday said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) was not playing a friendly opposition role in the parliament, Aaj News reported.
‘The PPP is performing its role keeping in view constitutional limits,’ he said this while talking to media men after inquiring after the health of known social activist and rape survivor, Mukhtaran Mai, who was admitted to a private hospital here.
He termed the defeat of his party in Badin in second phase of LG polls in Sindh as ” beauty of democracy.”
To a question, former prime minister said that Pakistan was an ally of US in war against terror.
To another question, he said that he had earmarked Rs 200 million funds in his tenure as PM for construction of a cancer hospital in Multan, and he had requested the federal government for its construction.
