MULTAN: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Saturday arrived here to perform inauguration of Khanewal-Multan Motorway Section.
Upon his arrival, the Prime Minister was received by Governor Punjab Muhammad Rafiq Rajwana and Federal Minister for Food Security and Research Sikandar Hayat Khan Bosan.
Addressing the ceremony the prime minister said that we want to maintain peace in Karachi and Rangers’ operation in the city is the witness.
The prime minister further added that when his government was toppled in 1999 progress in Pakistan came to a standstill. If dictatorship had continued and democracy had not returned to the country the country could have been in dire straits.
The country is holding those accountable who were responsible for halting progress in the country, PM added.
In the end, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also touched upon other development projects currently underway.
