WASHINGTON: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Friday said operation Zarb-e-Azb should have started earlier and strict action would be taken against the people creating obstacles in the way of the operation.
‘Pakistan’s relations with the United States are crucial and strong,’ he said while addressing Pakistani community in Washington. He also expressed suspicion about Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s thoughts about peace.
He said financial aides of the terrorists were being pursued. He further said Pakistan Army would fulfill the expectations of its people. China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is vital for the development of Pakistan.
Sharif said we wanted relations with India at equal level; however Modi’s thoughts about peace seemed different.
COAS said there were so many elements trying to put obstacles in the process of Afghan coalition.
