PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Chairman, Imran Khan has been summoned to the Peshawar High Court for his statement against doctors on November 12, Aaj News reported.
A petition was filed against Imran Khan by a few doctors in the high court.
Earlier, addressing a press conference during his visit to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Khan called young doctors a ‘mafia’.
He said after installation of biometric system in hospitals it was found that 60 percent doctors were present on duties for only one hour. “I ask you not to work against humanity,” the PTI chief had said.
Imran Khan had said some doctors had threatened to go on strike when the government announced its plan to install biometric system in hospitals.
Doctors in KPK had given a 72-hour ultimatum to Imran Khan to withdraw his statement, but when he did not they filed a petition in court.
