Hilal-e-Ahmar branch to be set up in Iqbal Colony

FAISALABAD: State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali on Sunday said a branch of Hilal-e-Ahmar Hospital will be established in Allama Iqbal Colony to provide medical facilities to people.

He was visiting the site with MPA Mian Tahir Jameel and DCO Noorul Amin Mengal.

Abid Sher Ali said the government was extending the best possible health facilities to people at their doorsteps and in this connection new hospitals and health centers were being set up in various localities.

The DCO briefed the minister about salient features of the proposed branch which will be established under the aegis of District Red Crescent Society.

The DCO told that initially Rs 10 million had been allocated for the hospital while steps were being taken for the construction of the hospital as soon as drawings and designing work was completed.

Later, Abid Sher Ali also visited Jhang Bazzar Chowk and reviewed flow of vehicular traffic and directed re-engineering of the important intersection to ensure smooth flow of traffic.
