DUBAI: England won the nail-biting second T20 match of three-match series consecutively against Pakistan in Dubai on Friday.
England amassed huge target of 172/8 for Pakistan to chase as right-hand batsman James Vince ripped the Pakistani bowling with 38 runs on 24 balls with the help of 2 6s and 3 4s. He was seconded by Jason Roy (29) and skipper Jos Buttler (33).
Pakistan took a good start with four of its players making runs in 20s. After that Pakistan had to face some disappointment as Sohaib Maqsood (2) and Umar Akmal (3) could not perform well. However, skipper Shahid Afridi’s fiery 24 runs on 8 balls re-pumped the enthusiasm in the nation and the game became suspenseful till the last ball.
England have won the three match series 2-0.
