ECP summons Imran Khan in disqualification case

ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan has on Tuesday summoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan in disqualification case.

While, the lawyer of Pakistan Muslim League-N Khwaja Saad Rafiq has taken time for argument on violation of code of conduct.

Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Raza Khan heard the disqualification case against Imran Khan and summoned him on 22nd December.

The complainant said Khan had put false allegations on court, ECP and the government, therefore he should be declared unqualified under the article 62 and 63.

On the other hand, the lawyers of Saad Rafiq have requested time to prepare for hearing on violation of code of conduct in by-poll NA-122. ECP adjourned the hearing by giving time until 15th December to submit affidavit and written reply on the violation.
