WEB DESK:Twin brothers, Dinker and Dilraj Varikkassery married twin sisters, Reena and Reema in an unusual wedding in India; the ceremony featured several sets of identical siblings, Daily Mail reported.
The special marriage ceremony took place in a church in Thrissur, Kerala State on India’s west coast.
From the wedding gowns, shawls and jewelry the brides wore, to the hair styles and suits of the grooms, everything was identical.
Moreover, twin priests presided over the wedding, and the flower girls and page boys were also identical twins.
The Daily Mail reported that in total, seven sets of twins attended the wedding.
The Varikkassery brothers spent five years looking for their perfect brides, the British tabloid reported. Their only requirement — the brothers decided on this in high school — was that their wives be identical, too.
They had even placed ads in local newspapers and on marriage websites.
“When we met Reena and Reema, we knew it was them we were looking for all this while. Fortunately, they also had the similar feeling after meeting us,” Dilraj told The Daily Mail.
Reena and Reema felt the same, having themselves spent three years in search of identical brothers to marry, the paper said.
“We had to keep searching the suitable boys for three years in a row. When we saw Dilraj and Dinker we nodded ‘yes’ to each other. It was a wonderful experience,” Reena said.
