WEB DESK: Election campaign for the second phase of the local bodies election ended on Tuesday midnight, Aaj News reported.
Candidates spent the last day of the campaign holding rallies and going door-to-door in order to gather support.
The biggest rally was held at Badin, where Pakistan People’s Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari addressed his supporters.
The polls will be held on Thursday.
In Punjab, polling will be held in 12 districts including Sargodha, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Attock, Jhelum, Mianwali, Chiniot, Toba Tek Singh, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Sheikhupura and Khanewal.
In Sindh people from 14 districts will elect their local representatives on November 19. These include Hyderabad, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Matiari, Dadu, Jamshoro, Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, Shaheed Benazirabad, Nausharoferoz, Mirpur Khas, Umerkot and Tharparkhar.
Polling in Sanghar has been postponed as a security measure.
Over 20 million people in both provinces will exercise their right to vote.
