LAHORE: Saad Rafique, Railway Minister has finally come out in support of residents of the controversial apartment, Moon Garden in Karachi, which was built on land owned by the Pakistan Railways, Aaj News reported.
In a press conference held in Lahore on Thursday, Saad Rafique said that the residents of Moon Garden should not pay for the mistakes of the builder.
He said the building was constructed following an agreement between the Railway Employee Society and the builder.
He said he was not in favour of the eviction of residents. He added that he will look into the matter.
Hundreds of residents of Moon Garden are protesting eviction after their houses were declared illegal.
