LAHORE: Two Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf(PTI) workers were killed and eight became injured during a clash with Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) workers, Aaj News reported.
The injured workers are shifted to Mayo Hospital. According to hospital officials, there are two workers still in critical condition.
A fight erupted between two rival party workers when they came face to face in the wake of the local body elections which will be held in November.
The Punjab Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif, has taken notice of the incident and filed a case. The incident took place in the Yakki gate area of Lahore.
Sharif also consoled the family members of the late party workers. He has instructed to take the case forward under the lawful procedures. He has asked the CCPO Lahore to provide him with the report of the incident.
The PTI Punjab chief manager, Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar claimed that Punjab police has become a Fascist force.
