MUMBAI: Hindu nationalist party Shiv Sena has threatened Pakistani umpire Aleem Dar to leave India and stopped him from officiating the fifth ODI between India and South Africa to be played in Mumbai, Aaj News reported.
Earlier, Shiv Sena workers stormed into the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai shouting anti-Pakistan slogans ahead of a meeting between PCB and BCCI officials over resumption of Pak-India cricket.
There were almost 40 to 50 Shiv Sena activists who barged into the BBCI head-office at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, shouting slogans against Pakistan and carrying placards saying “Shahryar Khan waapis jao (Shahryar Khan, Go Back)”, Indian media reported.
In the wake of mob violence by Shiv Sena activists, the meeting had been canceled. And now the hardline Hindu Nationalist Shiv Sena has started to threaten Pakistani Umpire Aleem Dar.
