ISLAMABAD: Minister for Interior, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan Wednesday said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership should learn to accept defeat as confrontation in every situation is not suitable for Pakistan.
The government of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had accepted all demands of the PTI including constitution of Judicial Commission (JC) to probe 2013 general elections, installation of cameras and deployment of Pakistan Army during by election of NA-122 but still PTI was using foul language and leveling baseless allegations, he said.
Addressing a press conference here, the Minister rejected PTI’s allegations of pre-poll rigging in recently held by-polls in NA-122, Lahore.
“Allegations have been leveled on National Database Registration Authority (Nadra) without any basis,” Nisar said, claiming he had rigorously investigated the allegations but could not find anything substantial.
He advised PTI Chief Imran Khan to stay away from politics of confrontation, adding it was not in favor of Pakistan.Nisar said PTI was wasting time of nation and wanted to create tension in the country by repeating allegations without any solid ground.
