LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf has expressed its reservations on election results for NA-122, Aaj News reported.
In a press conference held on Sunday night, PTI leader Jehangir Tareen alleged that rigging took place before the elections. He said that the PTI was at war with the state, and a few thousand votes do not matter.
He added that never in history has it happened that one party wins the national assembly seat, but loses the provincial assembly seat.
He said that PTI has proven that Lahore was not a fortress guarded by PML-N.
Chaudhry Sarwar, another PTI leader said that his party does not accept the election results.
Aleem Khan, the PTI contestant who ran for the NA-122 seat said, that it was a close competition, and PML-N won with only 3000 votes. He said that PML-N leaders were otherwise saying that they would lead by 40,000 votes.
