The number of deaths have not been confirmed yet but the earthquake ranked 8.1 on the Richter scale.
24, 26 September 2013
Two consecutive earthquakes which hit the Awaran district of Balochistan on September 24 and 28, killed over 1200 people. They ranked 7.7 and 6.8 on the Richter scale respectively.
Aid to the militant infested area was restricted and only army vans and Jamatud Dawa charity workers could enter the area.
29 October 2008
The earthquake which hit Quetta and Ziarat ranked 6.4 on the Richter scale, killed 215 people and rendered 120,000 homeless.
8 October 2005
This deadly earthquake which ranked 7.6 on the Richter scale took 80,000 lives. Over 3.5 million people became homeless in this earthquake.
