Steps ensured for rehabilitation of Kasur incident affectees: Minister

LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Women Development Hameeda Waheed-ud-Din said that effective steps would be taken for the psychological and social rehabilitation of affectees of Kasur incident.

Addressing a meeting of women assembly members at committee room of the Punjab Assembly, here on Monday, she said, “Children are our precious asset and future of the nation, therefore, their education, training and protection is our obligation.”

She said the government had started action against the accused involved
in Kasur incident.

The minister said that parents and teachers should play their role for creating awareness among the children about their protection and lend helping hand to the government in awareness campaign.

A condemnatory resolution was presented against Kasur incident in the meeting and effective steps by evolving a strategy for eradication of cyber crime were demanded to avert such incidents in the future.
