KARACHI: Sindh Education Minister, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, has convened a meeting on Thursday to take up the matter pertaining to recovery of additional fee by the private schools.
The Minister, it was pointed out by the spokesman, has taken notice of the fee issue.
Notices have also been issued in this regard to many of the private schools.
Talking to media after attending a cultural programme at the JS Academy for the Deaf here on Wednesday, Khuhro said that a strategy would be evolved to prevent the recovery of additional fee.
The law pertaining to the registration of the private schools would also be considered at the meeting The Minister said that the justification on the part of the private schools for raising the fee because of imposition of tax, would not be acceptable.
He stated that the schools would not be allowed to go scot free and that a strategy would be devised for the better monitoring of the schools.
Khuhro said that recovery of advance fee of three to four months by the schools would also not be tolerated.
To a question, he said that no political or defunct party would be allowed to collect the hides of the sacrificial animals on the occasion of Eid ul Azha.
He made it clear that only the welfare organizations would be allowed to collect the hides and for this they would have to obtain prior permission from the government.
The Minister said that a code of ethics would be framed for the collection of hides of the sacrificial animals. A committee has been constituted in this respect. It included Commissioner and Administrator Karachi.
He was of the view that the Rangers have been given power for operation against targeted killing, terrorism, extortion and kidnapping for ransom.
