LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s Railways Labour Wing president Muhammad Sarfaraz Khan along with other labour leaders has announced support for former speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in upcoming by-elections.
In a press conference at Press Club here Wednesday, he declared his disassociation with the PTI and said that he was not joining any other political party.
The labour leader lauded the efforts of PR Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique for the revival of the department.
He said, the government wanted to privatise Railways but Khawaja Saad Rafiq fulfilled his promise and saved the department from privatization.
Sarfaraz said that political influence in the department had been completly discourged.
Appreciating Saad Rafique, he said that corruption had been eliminated from the department with the efforts of the minister.
He said that PR workers supported the minister on his request and worked hard to uplift the performance of the railways.
Central chairman Rail Mazdoor Ittehad Ch Anayat Ali Gujjar and other leaders including Rauf Khan, Naeem Shah, M Imran,Agha Jussain Shah, Ch Tahir Aziz, Rana Tariq, Rana Hassan, M Aslam, Abdur Rehman Tanoli, Munir Sultan, Irfan Munir, Nasir Mehmood, Naseer Ahmad, Haji Jamil Ahmad Khokhar, Liaqat Tanoli, Asghar Ali and SH M Naeem were also present.
