LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan Kidney & Liver Transplant Institute (PKLTI) and Research Centre project is needed to be worked with national spirit as it has vital importance for the provision of modern treatment facilities to kidney and liver patients.
He was addressing a video conference at Civil Secretariat here from Islamabad on Thursday.
Various matters regarding Pakistan Kidney & Liver Transplant Institute and Research Centre project were reviewed in the conference.
The chief minister said Pakistan Kidney & Liver Transplant Institute and Research Centre project was a great project of public interest which should be speedily completed without wasting any time.
He directed that a high standard of the project should be ensured and work should be carried out expeditiously.
He said the steering committee formed for the project should review all matters regularly for taking decisions and a report should be presented within seven days after setting the time-line regarding the issues relating to the project.
Chief Secretary Punjab Khizar Hayat Gondal, President Board of Governors of Pakistan Kidney & Liver Transplant Institute Dr Saeed Akhtar and other members and senior authorities attended the meeting from Islamabad while senior officials of federal and provincial institutions participated in the meeting from Civil Secretariat here.
