WEB DESK: A student from Pakistan has been selected for a summer internship at the Microsoft Research Centre in Cairo.
Omer Ahmed Khan, from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi, is the only Pakistani among the 24 shortlisted candidates from a total of 520 applicants.
The selected candidates will be working at the Advanced Technology Lab (ATL), Cairo which is part of Microsoft’s Technology & Research (T&R) organization.
The internship program is designed to give undergraduate students experience working on real projects alongside full-time employees.
Internship type differs according to a students’ interests and qualification. Interns can choose to work in research, development or testing.
To apply for this internship, you must:
- Be a third-year student in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Have strong analytical abilities and interest in research.
- Have advanced programming skills.
- Have familiarity with Microsoft technologies.
