India resorts unprovoked firing in Battal sector of AJK

MIRPUR: Violating the ceasefire Wednesday night, Indian troops opened fire from automatic weapons and mortars on the forward villages along the Line of Control (LoC) in Battal sector Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Police sources told APP that there was no report of casualties or damage to property in the incident.

“In Battal sector, Indian troops along other side of the LoC, violated ceasefire by opening unprovoked firing on the forward populous areas in Battal sector.

The Indian troops targeted the populous forward locations at around 9.05 pm, sparking an exchange of fire that continued late in the night.
