ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has finalized arrangements for disposal of offals of sacrificial animals on Eid ul Azha to keep federal capital neat and clean.
“Sanitation department of the civic body would deploy its staff on all three days during Eid while leaves of the employees of the department have also been canceled to ensure the cleanliness of the capital city” an official of CDA said on Friday.
Federal Capital city has been divided into four zones where in Zone I included the areas of F-6, F-7, F-8, Blue Area and Bari Imam while zone II comprises Facial Mosque and G-8.
Similarly, areas of sector F10, F11, Golra Sharif, G9, G10, G11 and G13 have been included in zone III, whereas zone IV includes the areas of sector H8, H9, H10, H11, I8, I9, I10/2, I11, Highway, Model Village Humak, Shehzad Town, Rawal Town and Margalla Town, the official said.
He informed that 30 deep ditches have also been dug out at 18 different locations in entire city where offals and other wastes of sacrificial animals will be disposed of scientifically in line with required hygienic standards.
The workers, he said would be equipped with more than 100 vehicles, tractors and trolleys, compactors, trucks and dumpers.
