Army chief confirms death sentences of 9 terrorists

WEBDESK: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Monday approved the death sentences of nine ‘hardcore terrorists’ involved in various heinous terrorism activities in the country.

Director General ISPR Major General Asim Bajwa tweeted that General Raheel had confirmed the death sentences of nine hardcore terrorists involved in the killing of civilians and security personnel.

The terrorists were involved in the killing of Major General Sanaullah, General Officer Commanding for Malakand division, and Lieutenant Colonel Tauseef Ahmed in an attack on the military convoy in Swat.

The ISPR statement said they were involved in killing of civilians and law enforcing agencies’ personnel in KP, sectarian killings at Mastung, suicidal attack on mosque in Nowshera, attack on Major General Sanaullah and Colonel Tauseef. One terrorist was awarded life imprisonment.
